Alone and disoriented, Dark Justice (played by
Tanya Danielle) sinks
into a period of unbridled debauchery suitable for only the most
stalwart of destroyed souls. Unlike many of her current associates the
former superheroine lacks the pathological mindset needed to rationalize
her sleazy undertakings and disgraceful surroundings. Her descent into
ignominy does not take the form of a cliched downward spiral; instead it
more closely resembles the trajectory of a fighter jet shot from the
sky during World War II. After a particularly long night - with both sun
and moon looming over her head - Dark Justice returns to the latest in a
string of flophouse accommodations. Her stumbling high-heeled boots
inadvertantly crush old cigarette butts more deeply into the carpet
before she loses her balance and falls headfirst onto the bed. It takes a
minute for her to roll onto her back and then she immediately reaches
for a dildo, a bottle of beer, anything to take her mind off the present
circumstances. How much longer can she continue this existence? Bright
rays of dawn light pierce through the threadbare curtains, illuminating
dirty windowpanes where pieces of fabric have already disintegrated.
Dark Justice stares into a patch of grimy, graffiti-etched glass and
knows that she must make a decision. Either she will continue this slow
suicide... or she will find a way to renew her good standing within the
Superheroine Sisterhood: the harsh hand of fate will prevent her from
landing anyplace in between these two extremes.
